Regan looks mildly surprised, but inclines her head with an answering smile. It's a practiced expression -- all of Regan's expressions are practiced, even when she's not actively trying to hide anything -- but real as well.
In the last few weeks, things have begun to smooth over between them, subtly. And Regan is glad.
