Privacy, such as it is, becomes a complicated matter for members of Parliament-- perhaps especially for Senator Gabriel Tam, given the circumstances that brought him to office and the more recent events, as well.

As a result, his staff is already well accustomed to dealing with the sorts of things that commonly affect those who exist in the spotlight of public opinion, including a standard media monitoring service.

Therefore, on the day that the mags hit the stands and 'feeds, there's less than an hour's delay before Mark Jiang pokes his head into Gabriel's office with the news-- and with a complete and annotated report in hand.

When Gabriel arrives back at the apartment, he has the report with him, and a rather amused expression on his face.

Regan herself has only just returned home herself, perhaps half an hour ago. Her luncheon meeting with representatives of the Children's Fund Interplanetary ran long. She wasn't entirely surprised by this, and certainly doesn't mind -- they're doing very good work, and they're eager to have the Tam name connected to their organization. But it means she was glad to get home, and deposit her handbag on the corner table, and switch her carefully stylish shoes for her favorite pair of old slippers.

She's sitting on the couch, now, one leg tucked beneath her, tapping a stylus absently against the couch's arm as she runs down a list of invitations for events next week. Their staff has already sorted through the list, of course, and weeded out half of them; this is the list of meetings and parties that one or both Tams might actually attend.

At the chime of the opening door, her head lifts, and she smiles at her husband.
