Not that he's said anything terribly unexpected yet, just the usual courtesies and thanks and some standard words about the Center's mission, but he's starting to get that gleam in his eye that precedes making a particularly strong point. And people around him are catching it too, and leaning forward unconsciously to hear him.
And what he's saying doesn't just sound good; it is good, and it's true, and he means it.
