Most of those here opposed to his operation are very fast, even by nonhuman standards. Raguel is still faster. He takes a feverish moment to wonder about the darkness, sees the wolf (not a wolf) speeding towards him through the black, thinks blankly: Aha. Surprises.
He does not have time, however, to recognize the expression on Tam's face, the recognition there, the acceptance of what he sees as divine justice. If he had, he'd think it somehow familiar.
