River's shoulders hit the stage half under a table, and hard; her low, startled cry is buried under the hubbub. Crowley's knee jostles a leg of the table, and there's another outcry as water glasses overturn. One corner of the tablecloth begins to drip.
River doesn't scream. She writhes, silent and furious and intent upon breaking free.
